I have an old blockchain.info wallet in 2015. I download the wallet.aes.json file. i tried with hashcat and BTCRecover for months. but i can not find the password. I’m sure the password contain one word. I just forget what i added. I may made changes. Could you give me a help? BTW, I come from Frence. I used Google to translate. sorry. hi, there are three possible reasons:
1.Your hints does not include the correct password, you need expand the passwordlist.
2.you password include the special character, which did not perform as expected. so the password used to encrypt your wallet is not the one you remember. you need try with a customized Hex base bruteforce.
3. It is affected by the bug. blockchain.info adopted hundreds of versions encryption methods. BTCR or hashcat only cover a few versions of them. contact us if you need further help.
