I’m fukxed by the old MultiBit wallet nightmare and I’m really stressed out right now. I was using MultiBit HD (version 0.5.1). I have the correct wallet password and the full 24 seed words. I’ve tried importing the seed words into several modern wallets (like Electrum and others), but the balance always shows zero – no transactions, nothing. I still have the original laptop where the wallet was installed – it’s an old Apple Mac OS X system, and the wallet files are still there. I’ve spent days searching forums, Reddit threads, old guides, everything, but nothing has worked for me. If you guys can successfully recover my bitcoins, I would happily offer a generous reward as a thank you. Thank you so much – I really need help urgently!
as i answered before on other cases. there are 3 possible reasons: 1.your password is wrong although you are confident. the real password used to encrypt your password maybe different one; 2. the data is corrupted. 3. the seed is affected by the bugs. they used a different way to derive keys in some versions of the wallet. as you cant recover with seeds. there high chance your wallet is affected by this issue.This need a brute force based on the seeds you hold.
